About Me

I currently work at Direct Communications Inc. as a Digital Content Specialist, making automotive data easily searchable on the web.  We work with a lot of manufacturers to electronically catalog their parts and provide them to sellers' websites and other marketplaces.

My most recent work in a more media related field was Quality Control Specialist at The Sportsman Channel, paying ttention to detail like managing a database of commercials to air and syncing closed captioning programming.  I'm looking to become more involved in video editing or other media related outlets.

I graduated Drake University with dual degrees in Radio/TV producing and Writing with a minor in Graphic Design.  As you can tell from my llama picture (double photo bomb!) I'm a little quirky but I'm also very driven when I'm working on a project.  I’m originally from Hartley, Iowa, a small town of 1,700 in the northwest corner.  Practically Minnesota, practically South Dakota.  Growing up in the country around farmers and other hard working individuals gave me a strong work ethic and great people skills.

I've previously worked for Measured Intentions as a video producer as well as Iowa Sports Spotlight, which covers high school sports across the state, as a video producer and social media manager. As a side job, I create and maintain websites for clients on template websites like Squarespace and Wix. These can be seen here and here (currently under construction, being moved to a new platform)

I've previously worked as a video marketing intern at Ruan Transportation Management Systems in downtown Des Moines.
